The rare 'Guggenheim' 3D relief in the white finish. Each of the three original editions from 1970 (black, white and chrome) were intended to be executed in editions of 750, but due to unexpected and costly production difficulties the editions were never fully realised or completed. From the planned edition of 750, only 117 examples in total were realised in this white finish. Signed by the artist 'R. Hamilton' and numbered (in black pen), on the reverse. Exceptionally, this example is in perfect condition (with none of the common condition issues associated with the editions, such as scratches, scuffs and cracks) and comes in it's original and seldom-seen custom moulded polystyrene case and original cardboard box, as published.
Published by XARTCOLLECTION (Zurich), with a copy of a letter from the former managing director confirming how many of each edition were actually realised.
