The exquisite, sculptural and sinuous suspension lamp designed by Philippe Starck for Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell's refurbishment of the Paramount Hotel in New York City.
Philippe Starck was hired to be the creative director for the complete overhaul of the hotel and designed every aspect of what was to become one of the world's most iconic dessigner boutique hotels.
Complete with original purple fabric braided electrical cable and concealed fixing for steel cable for suspending the lamp over the desired area for highlighting specific areas with accent lighting.
A signature Starck design, created by the handmade, skilled process of sand-casted aluminium, in France, and weighing in at a hefty 4.5 KG.
Commissioned exclusively for the hotel project and not previously available commercially as a retail product.
NOTE: This lamp has been professionally internally re-wired and the bulb holder has been replaced with a brand new one and is PAT tested.
