Original 1st edition 'Ed Archer' chair designed by Philippe Starck in 1986 (production from 1987) and long since out-of-production.
Signature Starck design with polished aluminium rear leg, tubular steel frame (with spring units) and upholstered in 'Russian' leather (there was also a version in black leather).
This, the 1st edition, features a stitched leather 'corset' detail underneath the seat (this detail omitted in the subsequent version).
With a beautiful patina, from gentle and careful use, in excellent vintage condition (unrestored).
